An “Easy” 5 Mile Recovery Training Run

Decided to hit some of what used to be a pretty regular route for me. I still tweaked it a bit though. Today was supposed to be an “easy” run but it was more of a “comfortable” run for me, basically if I was comfortable running a sub-8 minutes per mile then that is what I ran. Perhaps it could be considered a fartlek run I guess. However, with my typically inconsistent running pace ever run I do could be considered a fartlek run. Ha. I did also enjoy a shorter run listening to a worship music running set. I wish there were more of those with some more recent music. Foggy Extended Run, Reminder, Don’t Forget The Nip Guards

It wasn’t a rainy morning but it sure was foggy. It was still good weather for a run. However, note to self, always wear nip guards on longer runs. I enjoy having the extended runs during the week as it gives me more quiet time. Getting enough sleep is the biggest problem though with the longer runs. I know that I’d probably do better with my runs if I generally got more sleep. I spent some time reflecting on my trip to Sierra Leone during my prayer time. Beating The Urge To Go Back To Bed

A little windy this morning but it made for a nice cool run. I didn’t feel like I slept very well so it was hard to get going this morning. The thought crossed my mind a couple of times to just skip the run today and go back to bed. I couldn’t get myself to do that though. I know that once I actually get moving things turn around. Also, it’s the best time for me to get one-on-one with God with little distraction. It’s hard to believe that the #GRMarathon is only like 6 weeks away. Cool And Comfortable 14 Mile Training Run

Had a nice cool 14 mile run this morning. It’s amazing how much cooler temperatures make a difference in how you feel on the longer runs. Felt great all the way to the end. It was a bit shorter run than last week of course. Loved seeing everyone out for the group run this morning. I was glad to have gotten the 14 miles wrapped up just in time for the start of group run. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water Walker, Michigan, USA
