When I start talking with people about my running there is always the question of why I’m running and what my goals are. I’ll be honest that running just kind of happened. Don’t misunderstand, running wasn’t an accident, but rather came out of inspiration from my wife and the fact that a team of runners formed at my church. I wasn’t involved in the Hope Water Team raising money for well in Africa this past year, but do intend on helping this year. Back At The 5K Training

I got back outside and returned to using Endomondo for my 5k training. Today’s training had 10 very fast intervals which really seemed to kick my butt by the last couple but I made it through. I did have a personal best for a 5K which was awesome given I’ve been out of it for a week. Was glad to be outside and back into the running routine. If The Weather Permits, Take It Outside

I felt really out of sync this morning. As others have pointed out from the HWP Team what you eat the day before has an impact on your runs. It wasn’t that I ate bad all day but I didn’t fuel myself enough to prepare for my run this morning. I’m still trying to figure out how to manage my eating. I’ve been on this weight loss path and I’m struggling with figuring out how to eat “normal” now that I’m at a healthy weight. I’ve lost 7 pounds beyond my second goal and I really need to stop losing weight. Still some work to do, that’s for sure. [endomondowp type=’workout’ workout_id=’864426504′ ]

Best 5K Yet, But What’s The Goal

Another day of enjoying the warmer outside weather. My pace has significantly increased and the last 2 days I’ve done a standard run with no intervals. Well actually, I was doing a Ghost Run, which the whole purpose is to best you’re previous time. I’m very happy with my progress however the question still remains for me, “What is my goal?”. My plan right now is to run the 5/3 Riverbank Run coming up this Spring. Since I’m already running a 5K at each workout then perhaps working on my time is where I should be focusing my attention. I still think I want to do the Grand Rapids Half Marathon this fall so I will need to do serious training for that distance. I…
