Playing A Little Catch-Up…Busy Days

So I didn’t get a post in on Monday, and I really need to be getting to bed now. LOL, just as I explained to Crowser, I get to a point at night and then I’m wide awake. Wasteful Weekends, Geeks…Gotta Love Em

So yeah, I pretty much wasted the weekend away again. Not totally, but I could have done a lot more than I did. I guess I sort of get tired of doing stuff, like work, all the time and want some time to just kick back and relax. I’m feeling like I’m kind of spinning my wheels with the web job. I really like to nail down the site design before I do the custom programming stuff. The problem is they’ve given me hardly anything to work with. Well Monday will have to be a big day to work on getting stuff going. I guess I’m going to worry less about the design and make sure the funcitonality is all there. So yeah, not much…

Life Without Internet…Wednesday

So back to Wednesday…it was a bit of a crazy day, as most Wednesdays are. I basically headed straight to church after work. I had Sunday Morning Worship Team practice before youth group. I started early with just Brad. It can be a real challenge for me as I’m not used to playing in more of a backup role on the guitar. I feel pretty clueless as to how to play. What didn’t help matters either was that a lot of the songs I either didn’t know or have never played on the guitar. Reality Check…

Yeah, so I’ve been a lot of thinking lately. Surprised? 😛 Wednesday, at youth group, an interesting question was asked. “What makes you happy?” This really got me thinking. It was very hard for me to actually stop and consider what does make me happy. I made a comment about the fact that I really find enjoyment in helping others out, especially when it comes to computers. Times that I have to spend with friends, like this past weekend, that makes me happy. I think I spend so much time thinking about how alone I am that I don’t feel very happy a lot of the times. Switchfoot Fights DRM!

In a story the came out earlier this week. One of the band members of Switchfoot was expressing his anger about the DRM the was put on their latest album. The DRM encoded albums were preventing people from ripping the CDs for use on portable medai players. He was posting instructions on how to circumvent the DRM. Well Sony & EMI have announced that they are recalling the CDs and replacing them. EMI says that it was a mistake. Let’s give it up for Switchfoot!

What A Sermon…

Well, I did manage to make it to the fellowship time before church. I have to say I was a little disapointed to find no Sunday School class that was directed for my age. I was kind of feeling like an island again. Not that it really matters that most of the guys at church that are my age are married, but I really feel like the odd person. I wanted to sit with someone my age that I knew, which ended up being all girls. That’s fine I guess but as I looked around I didn’t see any sinlge guys my age in the entire room. I feel like such a loser.
