I love that our family has a membership to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. We can spend hours their with the kids. We audio hey the benefit of their exchange program where our membership gets us into additional places like the Grand Rapids Public Museum and John Ball Zoo. Working Nights & Weekends
Resisting the urge to work nights or weekends has been a challenge since starting my new job with Sprint back in September. Having a big high visibility project, that is all new, hasn’t helped matters. This article from DZone says a lot to why I need to put my boundaries back in place. I know things aren’t at a good place when my wife says “you’ve been working a lot lately, when will things get back to normal”. Major red flag indeed. So looking forward to the next few months as we’ll be moving into a new house, and my wife plans a trip to Africa, I’ll need to think long and hard before I pickup the work computer during my nights and weekends.
Are You As Smart As My 6 Year Old?
So I just witnessed my 6 year old daughter count backwards from 90 to zero. I’m constantly amazed at how smart she is. Not to mention that she is already reading at a 2nd grade level.
Available Kids Activities Have Changed…Am I That Old
My son was invited to a classmates birthday party at Rebounderz, in Jenison. When I was a kids there was the roller skating rink, these days there are so many new activities for kids to try and do. What It Means To Be A Good Father
One of the challenges I have is not getting upset with my kids. In turn that means not making my kids upset with the way I handle my frustrations with their behavior. I need to remember this verse every time I’m faced with training and disciplining my kids. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them.
