Kicking Off A Monday With Another 5 Miles For Clean Water

As I ran this morning my mind was on the huge impact that clean water has on the children of Sierra Leone. Easy access to clean water means a brighter future for the children. They can choose school over spending they’re days collecting water for their families. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Double your gift of clean water: https://timn.me/2020HWI

Great Weather For An Early Morning Run For Clean Water

Even though there was a little bit of moisture this morning it was still great weather for a run. I know that right now it seems pretty outrageous to be asking people to support the clean water effort when many have lost their jobs, or are otherwise undergoing major hardships due to the coronavirus. The other global needs that existed before the pandemic hit didn’t go away so we can’t forget about them. Without access to clean water those countries are at risk because of sanitary challenges as well. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Give to clean water, and I will personally match up to $500. https://timn.me/2020HWI

6 Miles For Clean Water And A New Fundraiser For 2020

I expected to have a tough time during my training run given my tougher run the previous day, but things turned out really well. It just goes to show you that some days will be tough, yet some will be outstanding. With the new season of #HWI officially starting that also means a new fundraiser page. To kick things off I’ll be maching dollar-for-dollar the first $500 in donations. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon #RiverBankRun Give to clean water: https://timn.me/2020HWI

Expanding The Meaning Of Running For Water

The first half of the run was OK, but the second half was a bit more of a struggle without my water, making my #Run4Water mean even more than normal. As I continued through my run, #WhyIRun was at the forefront of my mind. My struggle doesn’t even compare to the daily struggle for clean water that those in Sierra Leone, Africa face. I had the benefit of a virtually unlimited supply of water waiting for me after the run….
