Fun Day At The Children’s Museum
A perk this March of being a member at the Grand Rapids Public Museum was being able to go to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum for free. Haven’t taken the kids there in a long while. They had a blast and of course didn’t want to leave.
Last Full Training Week Before The Big Day
Pretty much unheard of for me today ended up being an evening training run, and an #Endomondo one at that. I started off way better than the start of a typical morning run, but given I’ve had a whole day to get my body moving that sort of makes sense. It was still pretty warm and humid, though I really appreciated the occasional breeze. I can’t wait until the temps cool down more. Solid Pace For An Off Morning
It was hard to get going this morning. I was so out of it that initially I forgot my water after walking out the door. I also forgot to turn on my heart rate monitor, and even more I totally forgot to put on my running goggles. Despite all of that I did still ended up having a great run. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
Picking Up The Pace With The Snow Cleared
With things warming up yesterday the roads and sidewalks got cleared pretty well. I was able to hit my interval training run paces quite easily. Looking back on the tough training week, I think it was actually a good thing in terms of getting an extra hard without to prepare me for today. I only have a couple of runs left in the training plan before the marathon next week, then it’ll be on to the #RBR 25K training. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
Final Training Week Before The Groundhog Marathon
It was kind of strange to not have ran since last Thursday, and I always fear any sort of break is going to set my training back. Once I hit the pavement I was moving just as if I hadn’t taken a break. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRGus Right now the people of Sierra Leone are in the middle of the dry season.
