Battling The Chunky Snow Covered Sidewalks
Had a short easy run this morning, except for the snowplow covered sidewalks. I’m thankful for those that actually got out and cleared their sidewalks. Listening to worship music while I ran was good to my mind focused on why I run. Today is #GivingTuesday and there are matching funds available when giving to #HWI so I hope many take advantage of the opportunity to double their giving. Also, I did register for the #GroundhogDayMarathon so I’d love to have the support of people to help me reach that final $2000 goal. I only have $300 left to go. Taking On The Wet And Windy Tuesday Run
It was a kind of interesting morning, weather wise. There was some big thunder before 4am but when I got outside for my morning run there wasn’t much for rain, just some sprinkles and mist off-and-on. The wind came and went as well. The crazy thing once again is to see my pace improve of the course of my run. Instead of what one would normally see, where your pace might get slower over the course of a run, for me my pace got better the longer I ran. It was a good morning for a run all around. Only a few more weeks until the #RiverBank and I think I’m feeling good about my training so far. #HWI #WhyIRun #Run4Water

When you are going all out for 12 minutes you start break down the time into segments just to keep from getting overwhelmed. The rain made it a little more challenging to see but I managed it well enough. The rain was refreshing and a great way to keep cooled down while running.

Doing 15 miles I needed to make sure I could get my run wrapped up by the time the HWI Team met at 7am. I got done with plenty of time to hang out with the team before things got started. Things turned out way better than the previous week’s run. On top of that I pretty much got in a consistent pace for the entire run which is pretty unheard of for me.
