Wasteful Weekends, Geeks…Gotta Love Em
So yeah, I pretty much wasted the weekend away again. Not totally, but I could have done a lot more than I did. I guess I sort of get tired of doing stuff, like work, all the time and want some time to just kick back and relax. I’m feeling like I’m kind of spinning my wheels with the web job. Why Does The Future Look Cloudy?
Well, the world of IM & eHarmony have taking up a bit of my blogging time tonight. I won’t be getting much posted here before I call it a night. Something that I’ve struggled with over the past few days has been this thing called life, and more specifically the future of it. As each day passes, and new things arise, I wonder why my future looks like such an unknown. At times I wonder if I should be making plans and setting goals. What’s Up With Me Today…
Of course, anyone that read my blog earlier, or will read my earlier post, will know that my day started out kind of crappy. Let’s just say that my mind and emotions got the better of me. Thanks to God for great friends and encouragers. I’m not sure if perhaps Caristy read my blog and told John to invite me out with the seminary students for lunch but it made a huge difference in my day. I won’t doubt that this was just God at work. Everything In It’s Time
For me as a Christian, it seems that one of the things I struggle with most is leaving things in God’s hands. I don’t know if part of my struggle is because I’m a man, and I feel the uncontrollable urge to fix things and have eveything planned out. When I don’t know God’s plan, and how can any of us know it really, I realize I fall into the sin of worry. I think it’s probably the worst when I truly desire to leave my life in God’s hands and trust in His plans for it. Teach Me Patience…
These past few days have been pretty amazing. Let’s just say for starters, that God has really been teaching me a lot these days. This is something I very much need to think about and reflect on daily. Kind of all goes back to the learning circle. How important it is to reflect, plan, and act on the teaching that God does in our lives. It can be so easy to learn and move on without it having a truely lasting impact on our lives.
