The Half Marathon Training Taper Begins
I’m now on the taper for the #HessLakeRun half marathon in a week and a half. This morning was supposed to be just an easy run but as is my m.o. I pushed it a bit beyond an easy run. It was surprisingly a fairly cool morning. Enjoyed listening to worship music and lifting up friends, co-workers, and family in prayer. Experiencing Enable The Children, Finishing at the Beach
Today was an amazing experience with Enable The Children. It was both heartbreaking and encouraging to see what is happening for special needs children in Sierra Leone. We started off the day having breakfast at th the hotel with a visit from Anna Vines who is the director of the ETC program at World Hope. She gave us some background into the program and helped set expectations for the day. After breakfast we met a few of their staff that were going to be taking us around to visit children. Fun Day At The Children’s Museum
A perk this March of being a member at the Grand Rapids Public Museum was being able to go to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum for free. Haven’t taken the kids there in a long while. They had a blast and of course didn’t want to leave.
A Bad Great Run
How can a great run be bad? Thanksgiving Training Run
Got my own little 10k+ Turkey Trot in this morning. Staying on course as I train for the #GroundhogDayMarathon in February. Looking to represent the #HWI team at that event. After having my water freezing on me this morning I can already tell this is going to be an interesting training season. Oh, it looks like I happen to #PR this morning, which wasn’t my intention, but it happened so that made for a nice way to start off the #Thanksgiving day. @jeremy @opendna yeah I’m pretty sure it’s just a caching issue. I updated a couple of times just now and that post is loading fine now on the web. I have to do some digging into my #OpenLiteSpeed cache settings to figure out if there is a way to have it cache and serve different versions based on the content type request. #ActivityPub has a different content type request, and thus response, than normal web browsing of course.
