I met up with my running partner at the Riley Street Middle School this morning, and we tackled a new running route. Runner’s know you don’t want change up too much at once. Knocking Out The Crispy Tuesday Run
It was a crisp morning so starting out I was a tad chilly but after getting in about a mile a warmed up. That’s one of the upsides of winter running, there is a lot of motivation to keep running. When you slow down you can get cold pretty quickly. On the flip side, summer runs are challenging to try and cool down without just having to stop. Winter running has it’s challenges of course. Final Training Run Before The Groundhog Marathon
Things were a bit off, and out of the normal, this morning. It actually started last night as I discovered that the #Endomondo service was apparently down, which meant I couldn’t load my training plan to see what my last run would be. Then this morning the Endomondo app on my phone wouldn’t even load right. Since my smartwatch came with #Strava built-in, and I’ve been syncing data there, I decided to give it a go on my run. It worked out well enough, except the watch and phone apps don’t talk to each other in real-time which meant I had no audio coaching and no real-time stats, including heart rate, pace, etc. Looking at my final stats I knocked the run out with flying…
Quick Lunch Break Run
Due to having to work about 4 hours in the middle of the night I was in no condition to run this morning so I took my lunch break to get a short run in. It sort of felt like a Minnesota run, but I could tell it was much more wet/humid. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
