Back Home And Back To It

I finally got back out for a training run after having to miss a couple of days while camping. Sometimes things work out and I can get all of my runs in while on a vacation, sometimes things just don’t work out. I’m glad to be back home and getting things back to normal.

For the first 4-5 minutes it felt like it was going to be a slower day, but after getting the first mile under my belt things turned around. From there on I just slowly kept picking up the pace. Foggy Extended Run, Reminder, Don’t Forget The Nip Guards

It wasn’t a rainy morning but it sure was foggy. It was still good weather for a run. However, note to self, always wear nip guards on longer runs. I enjoy having the extended runs during the week as it gives me more quiet time. Getting enough sleep is the biggest problem though with the longer runs. I know that I’d probably do better with my runs if I generally got more sleep. I spent some time reflecting on my trip to Sierra Leone during my prayer time. Running In The Heat, And A Johnny On The Way

Some may ask, after a few years of raising money for wells, “why more wells?”. What most don’t even think about is both the pros and the cons of a new well in a village. You may be surprised to even think that there could be a downside to a new well in a village. A new well not only provides for a village but now there are those outside the village they will come because the water source is closer. Some may even relocate to a village because there is a new water source that is readily available. So the reality of it is that the more wells there are for people the less strain there will be on a village, in more ways…
