Starting Another Week With An Early Morning 3 Miles

A little bit earlier run today,and I didn’t manage any PRs, but things felt pretty good nonetheless. When it comes down to it if you think about one of your worst days I don’t think it can even compare to the days that many in Africa face without clean water. I am more than willing to endure some discomfort, and tough days, if it means making water available to a village in Africa. Something that can mean the difference between life and death.

I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow #HWI team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. Back In The Saddle On The Road To Recovery

I couldn’t do another day of just walking. I did my best to keep it a slow jog. I also continued to use the slower pace to have some good one-on-one time with God and pray for friends and family that I know need support for the things they are going through right now. As I continue to recover and work my way into a normal running routine again I need to keep working on where my focus is as I run. I’m thankful for how my recovery is going, and also thankful for the opportunity to see my running from a different perspective. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon

Knocking Out Another Monday Training Run

I really enjoy being able to just turn on the workout worship music and just run while having one-on-one time, just me and God. This morning the Rusch family was on my mind and is in my prayers. I spent 10 years working at a Christian camp and was blessed to work with some many amazing people serving and ministering to others. I am totally blown away when I hear of the trials many of them end up going through.
