Winter Running in April?
This morning was an evaluation run, but things weren’t so easy given that it had snowed and the sidewalks were more slick than I had anticipated. Not much else to share when I have these short intense runs.

3rd 5K, Tough Morning…Inclines
This morning felt like a pretty big challenge. It being my 3rd 5K this week I just felt off from the start. After looking at my distance climbed I think I understand why today felt like so much of a struggle, I had about 90 feet of incline then my last 2 5Ks. Looks like the machine decided to take things up a notch today. I’m not unhappy with my pace. It just feels like I took a step back from the start of the week. I think my body is still recovering from lack of sleep since I was up way late the night before last. I hope it’ll work to make it to a HWP group run soon. Beginning The Mileage Increase
The training schedule this week is starting to increase my weekly miles, so my mornings are going to begin getting earlier. Early mornings are actually hard for me but it’s the only way I can really make the time to run. Why would I choose to get up in the wee hours of the morning to run? An Easy Saturday “Long Run” To Finish Out The Week
I got out for a long overdue Saturday run, a “long run” as the training plan classified it. As expected, since it was a timed run I got more distance in than what was called for since pace is always a challenge for me. I still only got 3 runs in this week since my alarm didn’t get set on Thanksgiving day to get a short run in. #HWI #Run4Water #RiverBankRun #RBR At around 26°F it was a pretty crisp and frosty morning. I don’t think I had quite enough layers on but that kept me pretty motivated to keep up the pace to keep warm.
