First Saturday Long Run After The 2019 GR Marathon

This morning was my first Saturday morning long run since completing the 2019 and I felt pretty good afterwards. I got a little concerned a few weeks ago when I started having leg cramps at like mile 5. I think that was perhaps just doing too much too soon after the marathon.

Where are the best places for wells to go in Africa? The desire with new wells is to place them where they will have the maximum impact on the community. In many cases this will be near the school in the village. Water has a huge impact on children in Africa.

I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow #HWI team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. I needed the break too as my last 6 miles I was fighting off some calf cramps. Overall it was a great day and I finished much better this year than last. A Little Early Morning Half Marathon

Sticking to the #Endomondo training plan meant getting up before 4am to get 13 miles of running in before my wife needed to leave the house by 6:15. I can say that I was overjoyed having to get up so early, but the alternatives were even less appealing. One thing that something like a time commitment, making sure I was home so my wife could leave, does is give you extra motivation to keep up the pace.
