After an 11 mile Tuesday run today seemed like it was barely worth getting out of bed for, but it is a necessary part of the training plan in order for it to be adjusted for how I’m actually doing. No worries about the lack of distance today as I believe I’m set to do a half marathon training run on Saturday. I was sort of hoping I might hit the 5K mark this morning but I was bit shy of that. ​ I’ve been running on these old shoes for some time. They’ve gotten pretty badly worn and it was high time I get new ones before I injured myself. Looking forward to my first run in them. A little bird (i.e. my wife) told me that a couple HWP Team Daybreak members have these shoes too.

What Difference Does A Drilled Well Make?

Something that may not really be understood when people hear that #HWI helps to put in wells in Africa. The wells that Hope Water International partners with #WorldHope are drilled wells. These wells go down deep to clean water, and they overcome the challenges of the dry season. Great Weather For An Early Morning Run For Clean Water

Even though there was a little bit of moisture this morning it was still great weather for a run. I know that right now it seems pretty outrageous to be asking people to support the clean water effort when many have lost their jobs, or are otherwise undergoing major hardships due to the coronavirus. The other global needs that existed before the pandemic hit didn’t go away so we can’t forget about them. A Surprising Snowfall To Start Off A New Week Of Running

Enjoyed another 5+ mile training run this morning, even with the light snowfall. Since the ground is pretty warm the sidewalks were nice and clear. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun Give to clean water: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr Even though the #RiverBankRun has been postponed to the fall I’m still sticking with the training plan that I’m working through for now. I haven’t signed up for any virtual races yet but I might so so. Let’s hope that the #COVID19 pandemic gets under control and more races don’t get cancelled into the summer months.
