Had a good run in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia and along the Potomac River this morning. Sometimes it can be challenging navigating new territory as a runner. It amazes me how packed things are here in Old Town Alexandria compared to the neighborhood back in Hudsonville, Michigan.

After taking the previous day off due to lack of sleep I was more than ready to go this morning. So much so that I was pretty much in a comfortable high gear for most of the run. It helps to be rockin’ the worship music right along with my run. I have to give credit to those longer hard speed work training days too. 10 Mile Hard Run, In More Ways Than One

It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing.
