Fun Day With The Kids And Family

We had a fun day with the kids starting off with a birdhouse building project at Home Depot. The kids didn’t want to go but in the end they had a lot of fun. On our way home from birdhouse building we stopped to checkout the animals at PetSmart. The kida of course wanted to get more pets but we aren’t ready to go down that road just yet. We already have a cat that they have a hard time with. The afternoon was filled with festivities celebrating Jacob’s Birthday. He was so happy to have family come adn especially his school friend. Us adults enjoyed some adult conversations for a change as well. Pokemon was the highlight of Jacob’s party.

Today’s run started off good but the second half was a tough to get through. It wasn’t a terrible training run but it wasn’t my best. When someone in Sierra Leone needs to make a trip to find water, there can be some good days, or some bad day. While we all have been impacted by this pandemic the biggest impact is on those that were already struggling. We can’t let the pandemic keep us from continuing to help those in need. We just have to find safe ways of doing that. Enjoying Sunlight And Worship Music On My Saturday Long Run

Being able to start my run later on a Saturday morning is a nice change from my early morning runs during the week. I actually get to enjoy some sunlight part way through my run. I still usually start when it’s dark so I still don the headlamp. Since today was a long “slow” run I just put on the worship music and let my body keep the pace it was comfortable doing, well for the most part. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #RiverBankRun
