It was nice easy run this morning. The weather was a nice cool 40 degrees, and not much of any wind. I don’t know that I’ll have the chance to return to Sierra Leone, but I am honored that I was able to go and get to know some amazing people there. I expected to have a tough time during my training run given my tougher run the previous day, but things turned out really well. It just goes to show you that some days will be tough, yet some will be outstanding. With the new season of #HWI officially starting that also means a new fundraiser page. Friday Impromptu Race
On Friday, June 7th, I had the opportunity to join a group of #HWI Team members as part of a marathon relay team. I was chosen to bring the team home running the last 6.2 mile(10K) of the relay. It was a tough run for me as my phone/watch wouldn’t work, other than music through my headphones, so I had no idea what my pacing was and no timer to keep me hydrated regularly like I’m used to. I felt like I was sort of running blind. A Tough Thursday Interval Run
When you don’t get a good night’s rest it definitely has an impact on your running. This morning was especially touch trying to keep up with the fast interval paces. Trying to make my way through the snowy sidewalks didn’t help matters either. Making The Best Of A Rainy Weekend Camping At Jellystone, Fremont-IN
After a rocky start to the weekend on Friday we did our best to make the most of a rainy weekend at the Jellystone Campground in Fremont Indiana. We started off Saturday morning with our big breakfast meal. After breakfast, and a little fishing, we took in a train ride around the campground. After our lunch we did some more fishing, of course. Both the kids enjoyed fishing, especially when they kept getting bites. The nice part is that the pond was catch and release, and the kids really didn’t care how big the fish were.
