Getting Back In The Saddle After Marathon Recovery
Finally got out this morning for my first run since the marathon. Doing a reverse taper, doing the training plan in reverse, as a way to ease back in. Felt great to be out there again, despite the cold and rain. #HWI
Another Nice 8.5 Mile Run
It was nice easy run this morning. The weather was a nice cool 40 degrees, and not much of any wind. I don’t know that I’ll have the chance to return to Sierra Leone, but I am honored that I was able to go and get to know some amazing people there. Friday Impromptu Race
On Friday, June 7th, I had the opportunity to join a group of #HWI Team members as part of a marathon relay team. I was chosen to bring the team home running the last 6.2 mile(10K) of the relay. It was a tough run for me as my phone/watch wouldn’t work, other than music through my headphones, so I had no idea what my pacing was and no timer to keep me hydrated regularly like I’m used to. I felt like I was sort of running blind.
