While Running Anything Can Happen

This week I was pretty off on my but I got my long run in today since I’ve got an all day conference tomorrow. It felt good to be back out running and I even felt good about my pace, for an easy long run. I’m not sure if it was God leading me but I started thinking about Sierra Leone and the next team going and wondered if I should consider leading the team.

I’m thankful for the nice weather this evening, and for making it back safely from Minnesota, to get my long run in tonight. It was a tough one doing it at night and all alone. You don’t realize how many miles a running partner gets you through without you even feeling it until you don’t have one on those long runs. I’m looking forward to getting back to a normal routine again. Not that I’m happy with just the status quo, but being back in a controlled environment where it’s easier to stick to the good habits and resist the bad ones. Kicking Off A New Training Plan

After still not quite getting much in for running the last two weeks I decided to just start a new training plan. For me, I need the motivation of a plan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a matter of if I don’t have a plan I won’t run, it does make it harder, but it really comes down to just not wanting to have to figure what I’m going to run every morning. With a training plan there is no question of what am I going to run, I don’t have to think about it, I just get out there and do what the plan says.
