In a time when many of us are stuck in our homes I’m glad to still be able to get out and run. I could definitely tell things were quieter than normal when I was finishing up my run. I am glad to know that, so far, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Sierra Leone. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun

Knocked out a long 18 miles with my running partner this morning. Glad to have someone to help keep me going. “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run in community.” The second half of the run was hot out in that sun. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water
My phone died and my watch powered off at around the 5 mile mark. I ended up doing 7.5 miles by the finish. This was my longest run to date. I’m feeling a little more comfortable with the idea of doing the half marathon in the fall. [endomondowp type=’workout’ workout_id=’885243077′] Daybreak
I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow #HWI team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. I needed the break too as my last 6 miles I was fighting off some calf cramps. Overall it was a great day and I finished much better this year than last.
