Pride, Ego, And Selfishness
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Donβt think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. – Romans 12:3 NLT Too often we get caught up in ourselves and we need to remember that in God’s eyes we are ALL equals.
Knocking Out Another Thursday 3 Mile Training Run For Clean Water
Sometimes, even when you’ve tried to resist it, you fall into old running habits. I’ll expand on that later if you keep reading. We can so easily take water for granted. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #HWI #KCC #GRHalfMarathon
Another 15 Miles For Clean Water
Help Bring Clean Water to Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon Now is the time to be kicking the fundraising into high gear. We have a $50,000 matching gift right now. Anyone that gives will have their donation doubled. It’s like a buy-one-get-one donation. ? #BOGOGiving Why not take advantage and double your impact! I didn’t get up early enough to get the additional 2 miles in that was on the HWI training plan, but I met the #Endomondo training plan miles. I knocked out the run with a pretty fast pace to get done before the running group met at 7am. It was way faster than the 9:53/9:23 pacing I was supposed to be running. I made it in time though.
Love Your Enemies…
Matthew 5:44 – So I happened to read a regular text entry on a Podcast that I subscribe to. This Podcast is like an audiobook, actually this is his second book. Well it would seem his site, with posts and comments, was hacked. This in and of itself isn’t a huge deal, except for the fact that the person doing the hacking is claiming to be apart of the cummunity of believers in Intelligent Design. It rather has me annoyed at how twisted people’s thinking get when it comes to their beliefs. How any true Christian can think that by attacking the non-Christian masses is going to be an effective witness is beyond me. How many converts did the Crusades see? I’m sure there were…
10 Mile Hard Run, In More Ways Than One
It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. I only got caught in a little bit of rain at the 7 mile mark so it was actually refreshing. Donate to Water, to Life – https://timn.me/2t9D4ne I did spend much of the second half of my run paying for those God prompted me to pray for. That also included prayer for Alimamy and his family, our ETC sponsored child in Sierra Leone. #HWI #GRMarathon #Run4Water #WaterIsLife #WhyIRun
Weekend of Rest and Learning
Well, I have to say that it has been a pretty nice weekend of rest. I know that I haven’t been as regular in the blog posts. I’m still going to have to work to remedy that. I’ve actually half thought about adding an audio component to my regular blog. Since I’ve got this podcasting equipment it seems a shame to only be using it once a week. Also, I’ve gotten so many comments about my voice, why wouldn’t people want to sit and listen to me ramble. LOL π I’m pretty sure I haven’t mentioned it, cause it’s been a few days since my last post, but on Thursday I had the opportunity to place a Skype call to Africa. I used a piece…
