Have to do something special with the kids when it’s a Dad night. Of course the kids wanted the Super Scoop ice cream.
Doing The Thursday Training Run
Another fine Thursday training run. Had a small amount of rain but it was nice to have it keep things cool. It was awesome to hear that my running partner exceeded his $1000 #HWI fundraising goal. I still have about $250 to go to hot the $1000 mark. I’m hoping to hit $2000 this year. #GRMarathon #Run4Water
First Snowy Run, First Ice Beard
The winter running season has officially begun. It was just a light snow so the sidewalks were still clear for the most part. We’ll see what they’re like tomorrow after the snow accumulates. I’m not on a new training plan but an easy 6 mile run seemed like a good distance to shoot for. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
Doing An Intense Training Evaluation Run On A Foggy Thursday Morning
It was a pretty cool morning which attributed to the dense fog but the temperature was nice for a run. I’m planning on sticking with my 25K training plan until the time the #RiverBankRun was supposed to take place. First Interval Run Of My New #RBR Training Plan
It was a cool morning with a hint of a light snowfall. Generally, cooler runs make for easier runs. I’m not sure what was going on with my heart rate monitor this morning as it was all over the place, reporting zero bpm. #RiverBankRun #RBR #HWI #Training #Run4Water View my workout stats…
Completing My 2nd Marathon, The Grand Rapids Marathon With Hope Water International
I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow #HWI team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. I needed the break too as my last 6 miles I was fighting off some calf cramps. Overall it was a great day and I finished much better this year than last. There were so many that came out to cheer us on it made a…
