Our organization is so close to reaching our goal and being able to bring clean water to 21,250 people in Africa. I’m still $780 away from hitting my goal before the Grand Rapids Marathon on October 15th. I hope there are those that would be willing to partner with me to bring clean water to those that need it.

It was a real struggle to do 10 miles this morning after coming down with a cold and missing a training run. The first half was pretty good but the second half was a big push. Sporting the Slip n Slide 5K shirt on my training run this morning. It was a hot one at 5am, I can’t imagine doing my run later today. This morning had an off start. After waking up and looking at the time I realized I had forgot to change my alarm the night before and I had woken up an hour late. I tried to get myself out the door as soon as I could but I knew there was no way I was going to get the 8-9 miles in that my training plan called for. On top of that it was an interval training run. Short Easy Wintery Run

Since I’ll be getting a lot of walking in today on my daughter’s field trip I decided to just get it a few miles this morning. Nice short slow run. It was much colder than yesterday so I put on an extra layer. Sporting my new winter running gloves with reflective finger covers. Since the majority of my running is in the dark I do my best to think about safety and being seen. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun
