My Beautiful Birthday Girl
Sep 18th
On Saturday I had the pleasure to take my very special girl, Vanessa, out for a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, dinner, and a little dancing. I enjoyed every moment celebrating the day with Vanessa. I don’t know if I can really express how much I care for her. I can honestly say that I don’t think I can imagine a life without her. I’m always in awe at how great God is to have brought us together. A year ago I never would have thought I’d be living in Michigan and have such an amazing woman in my life.
Life has been a little out of the ordinary lately. I ran sound again this week for Splash, it was a little crazy once again. Things should settle down eventually once everyone gets in tune with everything that needs to happen. Hopefully the next couple months will start to show some normalcy.

Not To Be Concerned…
Sep 4th
I want to thank those of you that expressed concern for me because of my protected post. It’s so amazing to know that there are so many people that care about how I’m doing. I want to assure you all that things are simply amazing right now. I know that most of you don’t really know Vanessa, but I hope that you will get to meet her some day, but for me she is the most amazing woman I know. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her and feel so completely blessed by God for how He brought us together. She has an amazing way of always making my days brighter. To see her smile always brings me joy. My greatest desire, and also my greatest fear, is to be able to show her how much I care for her. Everday I see us growing closer and being able to share more of our thoughts and feelings with each other. I feel as though there is nothing I can’t share with her, and I know that she will be there to support me and help me through anything.
We have been able to spend so much time together over the past few days, it has been simply amazing. It’ll be strange to be getting back to the normal work schedule days, saying good bye to summer as it slowly begins to fade away. With each season though brings new experiences, and I’m looking forward to them all.

Can I Make A Weekly Update?
Jul 29th
Well, so it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last post. I think I need to do something about this. In no way have I gotten tired of the whole blog scene, it’s just that my life has changed so much. I’m still finding my way back to something that feels normal. Everything here still seems pretty new. I remember that it took a few months for me to establish some normalcy my first year of college. Everything was brand new for me, and it was hard to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t felt sad that I’m here, I do miss seeing so many people but I have been able to chat briefly with so many of you. If anyone ever wants to give me a call and chat I’d love it, drop me and email and ask me for my number if you need it. So, anyways I think I will be looking to try and schedule in at the very least one day a week for blogging. I thnk my biggest problem with trying to post daily is that once I get going my blog entries turn into rather lengthy posts. I guess I’ve pretty much always been better at processing my thoughts in written word than verbally, although I am working on that too. That also brings up another issue, and that’s of getting back to putting out my podcast
. I haven’t gotten one out for I think perhaps 2 months now. I’m simply amazed at how so many other podcasters can come out with daily podcasts.
Well, so anyways, what have I been up to? Well, I don’t really have the time to spend right now going back over every day and detail. However, I’ll note some of the items briefly. During our first Tuesday team meeting I was praised to my boss, by a co-worker, for the contributions and ideas I was bringing to the team. On Sunday, I went to the beach with Vanessa’s parents, brother, and his girlfriend. Let’s just say that it’s hard to get comfortable in 57 degree water. (burr) It was kind of different to be going with them without Vanessa there, but I had a really great time with them. I do have to say I really like her family, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know them more and more. On Monday Vanessa was back, we had already planned to go out on a date that night. I took her to a really nice Italian restaurant, the food was great, and I loved to hear all about her trip. After dinner we walked next door to Cold Stone
for icecream. (yummy!) It’s so nice to have her back. Wednesday, I made us sloppy joes, afterwards we went for a walk over at Hager Park
and then we went swimming in a little lake not too far away. It was another great evening.

The Invisible Man Speaks!
Jul 18th
OK, folks. So it has been a rather long time since I last posted. Let’s just say that my life has been a little busy. Last week on Monday I started my new job. My official title is Associate Network Planning Engineer, isn’t that a mouth full. I work on a team that develops tools to help track the cellular network and help to plan for expansion. The crazy thing about last Monday was that even though I was starting no one there that day really knew that I was starting. The guys I work with got the emails that morning about me starting. The IT deptartment wasn’t very happy as they hadn’t even begun working on getting me a computer. I basically had not computer and no desk to call my own. By the end of that week I had finally gotten a computer to use and a desk to work at, I also got my new company cell phone.
The phone wasn’t all I had hoped. We basically get a free phone up to $250, but at retail prices. I was really hoping to get my hands on a new Treo 700p
, but I was only going to be able to get that by forking over an additional whopper of $400 out of my pocket. With the new move I just going justify spending that kind of money. In the end I have a decent phone, but I’m not able to do all the bluetooth syncing stuff I would have liked to do. I was able to easily send the contacts I felt I needed over to the phone from my Mac Address Book, which was nice.
